Answer

When adding an email account, choose "Other Account".

Enter your email address and password. It will attempt to guess your email settings, which will not be correct. Look for "Advanced" and manually enter the settings:

Account name: Whatever you want to call it
Your name: Name
Incoming email server: imap.DOMAIN.COM
Account type: IMAP4
User name: Your full email address
Password: Your email acct password
Outgoing (SMTP) email server: smtp.DOMAIN.COM
Outgoing server requires authentication: yes/checked
Use the same user name and password for sending email: yes/checked

In the examples above, replace DOMAIN.COM with your website name.
